Solo Studios

Solo Studios was started by Shannon Kettler, a hair stylist and special occasion artist with more than 20 years in the industry. Shannon first encountered the salon suite idea in 2016 while educating for Surface Hair in Austin, Texas, and opened the first location in O'Fallon in February 2020. A second location in St. Peters opened in March 2025.

The business is built for creative, entrepreneurial professionals who want a studio of their own. Each provider rents a space and runs their own clients, pricing and schedule, and the business aims to help them build a personal brand and connect with the guests they want to attract. Weekly studio rent starts at $160.

The O'Fallon location has nine studios, eight private suites and one two-station mini salon. The St. Peters location has seven individual suites. Studios have glass doors, and most have large windows. They can be equipped with shampoo units, styling chairs and some hooded dryers. Each location has a small breakroom with extra storage, a refrigerator, a coffee station and a water cooler, and optional laundry service is available.

Guests can browse each stylist's profile, call them directly, or book online through that stylist's profile. Anyone curious about renting a studio can send a text to 636-290-8516.
