Sola Salons rents private salon suites to beauty professionals who want to work for themselves rather than as employees of a salon. The New Berlin location, at National Avenue and Moorland Road in Moorland Square Shopping Center, is one of several sites in the Wisconsin area. Each franchise location is independently owned and operated.

Rentable suites serve a broad mix of practitioners. Occupants can be waxing specialists, tattoo artists, nail technicians, lash professionals, or operators of medical spas, alongside barbers, makeup artists, massage therapists, laser hair removal providers, permanent makeup artists, brow specialists, estheticians, hair extension professionals, hair stylists, and health and wellness providers.

Each suite has its own lock and key on a glass door, sound-insulated walls and full-spectrum lighting, and comes with a shampoo bowl and styling chair. Shared amenities include janitorial service, bathrooms, a breakroom, on-site laundry, instant hot water and ventilation, and the location has 24/7 security.

Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. They set their own service and product prices, choose the brands they carry, keep all service and product profits, and decide their own working hours, with 24/7 access hours varying by location.

The business says it has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.
