Sola is built around the suite-rental model: each professional runs their own business from a private suite, and each location is independently owned and operated. According to the salon, it has 21,000+ independent beauty and wellness professionals across 750+ locations in the U.S. and Canada, and more than 20 years of partnering with professionals.
Each suite comes move-in ready and fully furnished, with full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl and a styling chair. Every suite has its own lock and key and a glass-door entrance. Tenants pay one weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi, rather than a booth or chair rental fee.
Tenants set their own service and product prices, choose their own work hours using their suite key, and keep all of their profits. They can also choose the brands and products they sell and keep 100% of the product sales income.
Building amenities include 24/7 building access (hours vary by location), 24/7 security, bathroom facilities, on-site parking, on-site laundry, individual studio locks, a self-locking front entrance, studio customizations and Wi-Fi.
The model gives independent professionals their own private space, with control over pricing, hours and product choices.
