Sola Salons presents its studios as a way for beauty professionals to move out of booth rental and into a space of their own. Each studio is a private, lockable room with its own glass door and key, and renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. Renters set their own schedules, and access hours vary by location.

The salon rents private rooms to self-employed practitioners across beauty, grooming and wellness. Tenants can be barbers, brow specialists, skin care therapists, hair extension technicians, hairstylists, wellness practitioners, laser hair removal technicians, lash artists, makeup artists, massage therapists, nail technicians, permanent makeup artists, tattoo artists or waxing specialists. Each tenant selects the brands and products they retail and keeps the full profit from those sales. Tenants may purchase liability insurance and, where it is offered, disability insurance.

Sola provides start-up support through a manual that covers checklists, salon license and permit forms, studio setup, credit card processing and contacts with retail distributors. Renters receive retail discounts, special offers for online scheduling, continuing education programs and access to industry events, along with community gatherings such as cocktail parties and family picnics. The business describes its community of independent studio owners as the largest of its kind and says it has more than 20,000 independent owners. Each location is independently owned and operated, and Sola says it is not responsible for the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or independent professionals at its locations.

Locations include Rainbow, Boca Park, Buffalo and Warm Springs, Centennial, Centennial Ann and 95, Desert Shores, Henderson, Lake Mead and Jones, Bend, District, and Tropicana and 215. The Desert Shores location is described as the business's tenth in Las Vegas. Each location has its own neighborhood setting, and the Centennial location is available for tours by phone.
