This location operates in line with Aveda's mission, which holds that well-being depends on harmony among the mind, body and spirit, and draws on Ayurvedic tradition. The company's founder, Horst Rechelbacher, first encountered Ayurveda on a journey to India and shaped Aveda's vision around what he learned there. Aveda's products rely on organically grown flowers and plants whenever it can, and the company partners with indigenous communities, growers and brokers under its sustainable agriculture approach.

A visit starts with a greeting and the signature Aveda scent. Mountain's Edge has a style the salon describes as casual elegance and luxury, with complimentary tea, massaging shampoo chairs and custom stylist stations. Hair services begin with a complimentary consultation, followed by an aroma sensory journey, a scalp and shoulder massage, then shampoo and style. Every hair color service begins with a consultation and a personal color formulation for the guest.

Facials are customized Tulasāra treatments for dry, oily, aging, uneven, sensitive and acneic skin and for eye concerns, priced from $60 for the Custom facial to $120 for the Dual Exfoliation Plant Peel. According to the salon, a clinical study found the Dual Exfoliation Plant Peel gave better results than a combined microdermabrasion and 30% glycolic peel. Makeup uses Jane Iredale products, with applications from $65 and lessons at $75. A 20% gratuity is added to makeup, facial and waxing services, and credit card information is required at booking. Guests should allow at least ten days of hair growth before a first waxing service. Group or event pricing is available on request, and gift certificates can be bought instantly on the salon website.
