Sola Salons operates salon suite locations under the Sola Salon Studios name. Each location is independently owned and operated by a franchise owner, and each salon professional or business within a location is independently owned and operated as well. The company says it has a community of more than 20,000 independent business owners.

Suites are private, move-in ready and fully furnished, and each has a glass door with an individual lock and key. Tenants receive a key and set their own work hours, with suite access available around the clock, though hours vary by location. Each suite includes a styling chair, a shampoo bowl, full-spectrum lighting, ventilation and instant hot water. Shared amenities include on-site laundry, bathroom facilities, janitorial service, a breakroom and 24/7 security.

Tenants run their own businesses from the suite. They set their own service and product prices and keep all profits, choose the brands they sell, and have exclusive use of their own supplies and equipment. Suites can be decorated with personal artwork, music, furniture and decor. Rent is a single weekly fee that covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. The site says a suite can cost about the same as renting a chair or booth in a traditional salon.

The Brighton location rents suites for beauty, wellness, medical and spa services, and welcomes a wide range of practitioners, from hairstylists and estheticians to chiropractors and IV therapists.

The model gives independent professionals their own private space, control over their schedule and pricing, and a single weekly rent that covers utilities.
