Sola Salons rents studio suites to independent beauty professionals in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. Each Sola Salon Studios location is independently owned and operated. The company says it has more than 750 locations nationwide and over 20,000 independent beauty professionals. The company is not responsible for the operations, employment or personnel matters of franchise owners or of the professionals who rent from them.

Tenants rent a single studio in one-chair or two-chair form. Each studio has an individual key and lock on a glass door, and most also have a sliding, locking door for privacy. One weekly fee covers all utilities and Wi-Fi. Access is around the clock, although hours vary by location. Tenants set their own work hours and their own service and product prices, keep the profits, choose the brands and products they carry, and have exclusive use of their supplies and equipment. Prospective tenants can book a confidential tour of the studios.

The St. Matthews location at 5000 Shelbyville Rd., Suite 1110 in Louisville has high-end cabinetry, sinks and shampoo bowls, ergonomic chairs and full-spectrum lighting. It also offers free parking, disabled access, on-site laundry, bathroom facilities, 24/7 security and Wi-Fi. Springhurst is at 2809 N. Hurstbourne Pkwy. in Louisville, and the Middletown location is at 12689 Shelbyville Rd. in Louisville. Springhurst and Middletown both list instant hot water, a breakroom, janitorial services, sound-insulated walls and ventilation.

In Lexington, the Lexington Green studios at 200 Lexington Green Cir., Suite 150 are reached from Nicholasville Road and Reynolds Road, and the company calls them luxury salon studios. The Richmond Road studios at 2909 Richmond Rd., Suite 130 are in Lakeview Plaza, between N. Locust Hill Dr. and N. Mt. Tabor Rd., and the company describes them as premier. Both Lexington sites are offered to hairstylists, estheticians, medical estheticians, permanent-makeup artists, lash techs, barbers and nail technicians.

Each tenant runs an independent business, setting its own prices, hours and product choices while keeping the profits.
