Sola Salons rents private studio suites to independent beauty professionals in Irvine. Each renter runs their own salon business from their suite. The company says it has more than 750 locations nationwide and over 20,000 independent business owners, and each franchise location is independently owned and operated.

Each suite is a private studio with a glass door that has its own lock and key. Suites include full-spectrum lighting, a shampoo bowl and a styling chair, and the site lists 24/7 security. Renters pay one weekly fee that covers utilities and Wi-Fi. Access hours vary by location.

Renters can sell retail products of their own choosing and keep all of the profits, according to the company. They also have access to liability insurance and, in certain areas, disability insurance. A start-up manual includes forms and tips for getting a salon license and other permits. Renters can also use retail discounts, online scheduling offers, continuing education programs and industry events.

The Irvine Woodbury location is near a grocery store, a pharmacy and Trader Joe's, and is reachable from the 133 and the 5. The Irvine Crossroads location lists free parking.
