Anastasiia Tupalo runs the studio as its owner and does the work herself. Before launching it, she spent three and a half years at a barbershop in Corona del Mar, and that background is why men's cuts and fades appear on the menu. Lightening is the studio's main focus, with services ranging from gloss and toner refreshes to highlights, balayage, AirTouch, and full bleach and tone.
Every appointment includes a consultation. The visit opens with a talk about the client's hair history and what they want, and the plan and price are settled before any color or cutting starts. Starting prices depend on hair length, density, previous color and the result wanted, and the final figure is confirmed at that consultation. Hair extensions are matched to the client's color and texture and ordered individually for each person.
Clients of all ages are welcome, whether women, men or children. Visitors arrive from Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Huntington Beach. The studio stays in place rather than going to clients, so on-location wedding work is not offered. With a single chair and no waiting area, every client is given a fixed appointment time. According to the studio's own site, it holds 5.0 ratings on both Yelp and Google.
Consultation first: each visit opens with a conversation about hair history and the goal, so price and plan are agreed before work starts. Treatments are picked at that consultation, and smoothing is held back for hair too weak to take it.
