SkinPro Studio opened in 2016 as a training space where skincare professionals could try treatments and products before buying equipment or supplies. About ten years later it serves clients directly, offering facials, massage and advanced skin treatments from its suite on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard.

About

Facials are not run on fixed protocols. Each treatment begins with an evaluation of the skin's texture, tone, hydration, congestion and sensitivity, and the session is shaped around what the skin shows on that day. Facials come in 45, 60 and 90 minute lengths. The 60-minute customized facial is the studio's signature and its most frequently booked facial, listed at $185 on the booking platform, with the 90-minute version listed at $225.

Many products are grown and formulated in-house from fresh botanicals, including handcrafted botanical skincare. Custom blended oils come from suppliers the studio describes as credible. The facial menu draws on methods such as microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, microcurrent, extractions, lymphatic drainage, facial cupping, acupressure, herbal botanical masks and Tuina TCM massage.

Massage options include deep tissue, Swedish and prenatal sessions, offered in time increments. The massage type can be changed at the visit after a consultation. Sessions may use hot stones and infrared panels for pain. Medical spa services are provided through in-suite partner Better Beauty and Wellness, and a SkinPro Teen Treatment is available for clients under 18.

Visits require an appointment and walk-ins are not accepted, though same-day times may be available if clients call ahead at 843-990-9386. First-time facial and massage clients complete consultation and consent forms before arriving. Parking is available around the back or in front of the studio, with handicap parking, facilities and treatment tables on site. Hours are Monday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, the second Saturday of the month 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and closed Wednesday and Sunday.

Through the Grand Tree Renewal Project, the studio works to preserve and restore grand tree canopies in Charleston. Grand oak trees are sold for $35, donations of grand trees are accepted for $35, and the trees are sourced from Roots and Shoots Nursery in Charleston. Gift cards can be used toward customized facials, massage therapy and restorative experiences.

Each treatment is customized to the skin on the day of the visit rather than delivered from a fixed protocol, combining botanical formulation with advanced esthetic methods.
