Skinlikeb was conceived during the 2020 shutdown and operates as a private studio in the WSA Building, a few steps from the Fulton Street and Wall Street subway stations. There is no waiting room, so each client has the studio to themselves.

Every new client starts with a private consultation, which can be held in person or virtually. The consultation covers skin history, current concerns, goals, lifestyle, past treatments and the home routine, and the studio then builds a plan for that person. Services are not picked from a standard menu. Each treatment is chosen for the individual, placed in the order the skin is ready for, and adjusted as the skin responds. The studio describes its priorities as long-term results over quick fixes, education over sales, science over trends and integrity over profit. Results are described as individual and are not guaranteed.

Treatments are grouped into Skin Refinement, Skin Renewal, Advanced Technology, Customized Skin Work, Skin Programs and Skin Conditioning. The studio uses light-based technology, professional peels, advanced resurfacing, oxygen infusion, LED, microcurrent and dermaplaning. Skin Programs are planned in phases for visible improvement and long-term skin quality, and Customized Skin Work can layer several treatments into one visit when the skin is ready for it.

The studio serves brides and grooms, talent and their teams, and everyday clients. The Bridal Plan is a series of advanced treatments leading up to the wedding, paired with a home routine, and bridal corrective work is ideally started six to twelve months ahead. Shorter timelines are accepted with a focus on hydration and calm skin close to the date. Event Week Skin is timed for the days before a wedding, and The Wedding Party offers private appointments for the bridal party and family. Talent appointments can be booked on short notice, in the studio or on location, and a non-disclosure agreement is available on request. No photos or posts of talent clients are shared without written permission.

Skinlikeb Consulting serves providers, practices, med spas and brands. Its work can involve training staff directly within a practice, reworking how treatments move through a clinic, writing protocols, calibrating consultations, planning treatments and integrating devices. The firm takes on a limited number of engagements and reviews each application personally. Individual practitioners need a minimum of two years working in treatment rooms. Certification and entry-level training are not offered. All services are cosmetic and fall within New York State esthetics scope of practice, under the medical direction of Jessica Barfield Doto, NP. When a client's concern requires medical care, the client is referred to a medical provider. Bookings require a valid card on file. A $250 private consultation deposit is credited toward the first treatment. Changes made within 48 hours forfeit the deposit. Treatments and skincare purchases are final sale.
