Side Door Salon

Side Door Salon operates from a shared space within Chicago Salon Suites on West Belmont Avenue in Roscoe Village. Several stylists work from the space, and each one takes their own appointments rather than booking through a central desk. To find the salon, visitors go through the gate on the east side of the building, between number 1905 and the antique shop next door, and ring the bell to be buzzed in. The glass entrance door sits at the end of the path behind the gate. Free parking is available on Belmont and the side streets nearby. Because each stylist keeps a separate schedule, booking happens through the stylist's own link rather than a single salon calendar. Angie books through her own online page, and Erin Kilroy and Janette Orozco each have a booking link in the site menu. The salon lists its closing time as 8:00 pm on Wednesdays, and it is closed Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The team covers a broad range of hair work. Cuts, blowouts and clipper or short styles are offered alongside root touch-ups, all-over color, foil and balayage highlights, toning and extended blonding for larger changes. Erin also offers braids and updos, and a free consultation is available with each stylist to talk through color or cut plans before booking.
