Hair Party is run as an artist co-op, so each stylist works independently as a contractor rather than as an employee of a single house style. Guests choose the stylist they want to see and book that person directly.

The salon has no front desk receptionist. When you arrive, tell someone on the floor which stylist you are there to see, and arrive a few minutes early.

Services cover color, including toner, single process color, partial and full highlights, and balayage or ombre. Haircuts are offered for children, men and women, and styling includes blow dry styles and special occasion updos. Treatments include a conditioning treatment and partial and full keratin treatments.

Color consultations are free. Clients booking a first-time color service or a major color change are asked to talk with their stylist before booking. Some specialty colors, such as vivid blue and green, can take four hours or more. A major change in haircut length also needs more time than a standard cut and is best discussed with the stylist in advance.

All stylists are trained to cut hair for donation. Listed prices are starting rates, and the final price may change after a consultation with the stylist. The salon is open Monday from noon to 8pm, Tuesday through Friday from 11am to 8pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday from 10am to 7pm. The phone number is (773) 857-3720.
