Sheek Studio is a small salon in Porter, Texas, on the outskirts of Houston. Every service is booked by appointment, though hair color and extension consultations can be done as walk-ins to meet a stylist. The studio was founded by Berenice, who has worked as a stylist for over 10 years with a focus on women's hair color and precision cuts. Blowouts and updos are also among her strengths. Each guest receives a look shaped to their personal style. Stylists are independent contractors who set their own hours and pricing, and stylist space is available to lease by emailing sheekstudio@yahoo.com.

Hair services range from women's, men's and girls' haircuts and shampoo and style to color work such as balayage, highlights, rooty blondes, single process color, gray coverage, vivid tones and color correction. Zen Hour Therapy, which runs 1 hour 15 minutes, combines a scalp treatment, hot towel massage and professional blowout with a choice of beverage, and a choice of Ultimate Hydration Boost or Scalp Reset. It is offered in limited time slots, only twice a week, and custom appointments are available for parties of 3.

Extensions include beaded weft sew-ins for lasting volume or length, and Halo extensions for clients who want a no-maintenance option they can put in and take out at home. Pricing depends on the desired length and density, so a consultation with a wash and blowout is the way to assess hair texture and density before booking.

Lash services cover classic, hybrid, wet set and volume full sets and refills, mini refills, lash removal and a Korean lash lift. Refills are due 2 to 3 weeks after the last appointment and need at least 40% of lashes removed to count as a refill; mini refills can be booked up to 10 days after the previous lash visit. Nails and waxing round out the menu. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the salon is closed Sunday and Monday.
