It is a relaxed space where clients can chat or work on a laptop during parts of their appointment. Suggested parking is on Tazewell Street for visits under two hours, or in Target's underground garage on 7th Street for longer ones.

Every new client starts with the New Client Collection. The Consultation ($55, 30 minutes) is a color-focused, in-person conversation about goals, expectations, and upkeep. The Corrective Assessment ($75, 45 minutes) adds a strand test to judge what the hair can handle, which suits fragile hair, hair with past chemical services, or hair with existing at-home color. The Basics ($145, 1.5 hours) pairs a haircut with a styled finish. The Rooted Touch and The Shimmered Mane ($440 each, 4 hours) and The Blondest ($550, 5 hours) are longer color packages. Each collection service ends with a blow dry.

Between dimensional color appointments, Refreshed services offer touch-ups, such as tone with a treatment, a haircut with a toner, or a root retouch combined with a haircut or toner. Specialty services include Face Frame, Babylight + Balayage, Balayage, and Heavy Blonding, each available as a full or partial service. Add-ons such as a Signature Wave or a root retouch can be added to a package, and Extras can be included with any Specialty or Refreshed service. Every treatment includes a five-minute scalp massage.

Clients book, reschedule, and cancel through the Client Lounge, which also offers tutorials for at-home hair care. New clients receive a drink of the month at their first appointment and complete a Guest Information Update Form in the Client Lounge before their first service. Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 7am to 4pm, and Thursday and Friday 7am to 3pm. Clients can call or text (571) 455-1204 or email shearharmonyhair@gmail.com. Requests for 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule apply, and late cancellations, late arrivals that lead to termination, or no-shows carry a fee of 50% of the missed service, due before future bookings. Children and pets are not allowed, except service dogs wearing a vest or harness. Minors may receive services with a guardian consent waiver. A waitlist is available.

The salon starts with a consultation to learn what clients want from their hair and then offers ongoing support, including a custom maintenance outline, styling education, and an in-salon game plan. The aim is to help clients keep their hair working for their lifestyle at any stage of life, and it values hair integrity above all else.
