Extensions are hand-selected through direct sourcing from manufacturers. The hair is minimally processed, cuticle-aligned and 100% human hair. Custom extensions can be made to specific textures and color combinations, and the extensions are sold in the salon and online through herbestvirginhair.com. Hair is not included in service prices and must be bought separately.

Installation options include braided sew-ins with a partial or full-head leave-out, full-closure braided sew-ins with no natural hair left out, braided sew-ins with a lace closure, and Microlink beaded-row braidless sew-ins. Tip-based options include I-Tip Cold Fusion extensions, installed strand by strand without heat, glue or adhesives, and K-Tip Keratin Tip extensions bonded with a keratin-based bond. Sew-ins typically last six to eight weeks with proper care, K-Tip extensions can last up to four months, and beaded-row sew-ins are recommended for maintenance at five to six weeks.

Booking requires a non-refundable $50 deposit. Cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead forfeit it, and no-shows or cancellations under 24 hours may also carry a rebooking fee of $100 to $125. Late clients pay a non-refundable $20 fee, and appointments may be canceled. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00am to 5:30pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Saturday is available by phone only, with no appointments. Walk-ins are not accepted, children are not allowed inside, and cash and credit or debit cards are accepted, though American Express, Discover and checks are not.
