The salon's view is that healthy skin is beautiful skin, and that skincare is worth keeping up as a regular part of self-care. Visits are by appointment only, booked online through GlossGenius or by phone. Hours are Tuesday from noon to 5 pm, and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm; the salon is closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Treatments take place in a private, relaxing suite.

Most facials start with a skin assessment, and products are chosen from that assessment. Customized facials at $95 target concerns such as acne, hydration, anti-aging, brightening and deep cleansing. The Serenity Signature Facial at $145 combines skin analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, enzyme therapy, extractions when needed, a customized mask, LED light therapy, a hand, arm, neck or shoulder massage and finishing products. Microdermabrasion can be added to any facial to help product absorption.

Chemical peels range from light to deep and are preceded by a professional skin consultation, which is recommended before a first peel; the deep peel can only be booked after light and medium peels. Stronger peels may involve several days of flaking, while many superficial peels need little or no downtime. Microneedling also requires a consultation and skin assessment. A topical numbing cream is applied first, and mild sunburn-like redness usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. The salon suggests 3 sessions for general rejuvenation, 3 to 4 for fine lines and texture, and 4 to 6 for acne scars, spaced four to six weeks apart.

Skin imperfections such as skin tags, cherry angiomas, milia and broken capillaries can be removed with the Superfrecator, a high-frequency device with a fine probe that works without cutting or stitches. Most imperfections are treated in one session, and treated areas form a protective crust that usually falls away within 7 to 10 days. Suspicious or changing lesions should be evaluated by a physician before cosmetic removal. The Lotus Club is an $85 monthly membership that includes one treatment credit valued at $95 each month, 10% off other services and retail skincare, and a birthday-month upgrade once a year; it begins with three consecutive monthly payments, then continues month to month, and cancellation needs 14 days' notice before the next billing date. Cancellations for appointments need 24 hours' notice, and a first missed appointment is noted in the client file while later ones carry a 50% fee.

Each treatment is customized to the client's skin type and concerns, and the salon says its products are clinical-grade, chosen for each client, and all natural and cruelty-free.

Skin care is personalized and offered in a relaxing, private setting.
