Microblading, a form of permanent makeup done with a handheld blade, is offered for people with overplucked brows or who want to define, darken, or reshape them. Brow lamination uses a natural ingredient to set brow hairs in one direction, working in a similar way to a lash lift. A henna brow treatment is offered for sparse or overplucked brows, and its formula is vegan, cruelty free, and built with hydrolysed proteins, a vitamin complex, and antioxidants. Brow waxing is shaped to each client's features, and most clients return every three to four weeks.
Facial and skin services include microdermabrasion, which uses a minimally abrasive instrument to lift away the outer layer of skin and is used for light scarring, discoloration, sun damage, and stretch marks, and dermaplaning, which removes the top layer of dead skin cells and fine facial hair with a 10 gauge scalpel. Lash lift and tint lifts natural lashes without extensions and adds black tint, with results described as lasting six to eight weeks. Permanent eyeliner can go on the upper lash line, the lower lash line, or both, and permanent makeup results are described as lasting one to three years.
Waxing is done with Painless Pearl Wax, which the business says is painless and does not stick to skin. Clients are asked to arrive with clean, dry skin and to avoid lotions or oils beforehand, and to mention any products that might increase skin sensitivity when booking. Teeth whitening is offered as an in-office service or as a take-home system using a whitening gel.
Joyce customizes each visit to the client's needs and comfort. Booking is online through the website. Saturday hours run from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm, the studio is closed on Sundays, and before- or after-hours appointments are arranged by contacting Joyce directly.
