The name Selah refers to pausing to reflect, and the studio aims to be a place where clients and guests can relax, recharge and have fun. It describes itself as a haven of relaxation. The studio operates from two suites, Suite 204 and Suite 117, at 3300 Monroe Avenue.

Permanent jewelry is welded onto the wearer, has no clasp, and takes about thirty minutes. Chains come in 14k gold-filled or sterling silver and can be made into a necklace, bracelet or anklet, with charms and decorative connectors available. Bracelets start at 75 US dollars, anklets at 105 US dollars and necklaces at 40 US dollars. Sessions are by appointment, open to guests aged 4 and older, with anyone under 18 accompanied by an adult, and a signed waiver is needed at the appointment. Removal or relinking is offered to previous customers, and repairs of caught, broken or stretched chains cost 40 US dollars. The studio is not liable for lost chains, and jewelry may need to come off for X-rays or MRIs, so clients should check with their doctor. Permanent jewelry can be worn through airport security, and out-of-town requests carry an additional travel and accommodation fee.

Bridal clients can start with a complimentary consultation by phone before booking. Packages include a bridal trial appointment and the wedding day application. Special event makeup, for weddings, proms, birthdays and photoshoots, includes a consultation, full face application and the option of false lashes, starting at 130 US dollars.

Makeup lessons are personalized, beginning with a consultation, and can cover foundation, contouring, highlighting, eyeshadow blending, color theory and eyebrow shaping. Group lessons combine step-by-step instruction with hands-on practice and are priced on inquiry. Beauty services also include waxing and brow lamination. The studio says it uses only the best products and equipment and guarantees its service and bridal look; these are the studio's own claims. Sales tax applies to services, and a 4% service fee applies to credit card payments.
