Sessions run from 15 minutes for small areas up to an hour for larger ones, and several sessions are needed because hair grows in cycles. Most clients describe the sensation as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. The salon states that electrolysis is the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal and that it suits all skin tones and hair colors.
