Visits begin with a complimentary 15-minute consultation, which is recommended before booking. New guests fill in a digital consultation form and are contacted within 24 hours during the work week. Pricing is all-inclusive, with no add-ons, upsells or gratuity, and the salon is cashless. Online bookings are requests rather than confirmed appointments, and session times may be adjusted for scheduling. Some services, including Customized Blonding, Lift and Tone Virgin Application, Corrective Color and waving treatments, have to be arranged directly with Sarah Mac.

Each row is placed on a beaded foundation beneath the natural hair and planned around the individual client's hair. A consultation is required before the first installation, and the extension hair investment, which starts at $400, is set at that consultation, separate from installation. With proper care, extension hair typically lasts nine to 12 months. Some clients also need color on natural or extension hair for a seamless blend, which is discussed in the consultation.

Adjustment requests for cut or color should be raised within seven days of the visit, and corrections are made at no charge within 14 days of the original session. Complimentary sessions are not offered for a change of mind or direction, and all sessions and sales are final. Returning guests can book shorter maintenance visits such as toning, fringe or neck trims and styling lessons, and the salon welcomes all hair textures and types. The salon is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., though hours vary week to week.
