About

Sarah Kahn Hair is located inside the MarQueen Hotel, at the end of the hallway past the lobby. The salon has operated since 2011 in an intimate space with two chairs, which keeps visits personal. The salon describes itself as a spot for healthy hair, clean beauty finds and conversation.

Haircuts start at $190 and can reach $400 or more, priced by hair length and density rather than gender. A cut includes an individual consultation, scalp massage and a custom blowout. Color services start at $400 for root-only single process and $680 for dimensional color; they include a hydrating treatment and a conditioning gloss, but not a haircut, and first-time color appointments require a cut or trim. Treatments from Davines, Filament and Leonor Greyl can be added, and styling and makeup lessons, including a one-hour clean beauty coaching session, are offered alongside the hair work.

Consultations before a first appointment and later visits cover expectations, timing, cost and upkeep, and most color consultations take place by phone with photos sent in advance. Products are selected for ingredient quality rather than marketing, and the founder tests each product sold in the shop. The salon is Green Circle Salon certified and runs an in-salon refill program and a TerraCycle program for beauty empties. New clients complete a form before booking, a credit card holds every reservation, and appointments are confirmed 72 hours ahead.

Focuses on education, with honest hair advice and guidance on maintaining hair between visits. Products are chosen for ingredient quality rather than marketing.
