Sara Carden Hair is a solo studio set within Marquise Salon Suites along Highway 71, lying between Bee Cave and Oak Hill. Free parking is available directly in front of the building. Every visit is handled one-on-one: a single stylist works from one chair, so clients never share a busy floor with other guests. Clients travel in from Austin, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Westlake Hills, Dripping Springs, Cedar Park, Round Rock and other nearby communities.

Booking is by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Appointments can be made online, by phone or by text, and text is the preferred way to ask scheduling questions. New clients can text with questions before booking. Booking at least a week ahead is recommended, especially for color, and Thursday and Friday slots often fill up. The salon is open Wednesday from 10 AM to 3 PM and Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and is closed Saturday through Tuesday.

Color is the core of the menu, from all-over color and root work to balayage, foilage and highlights. Balayage is hand-painted and placed to suit the client's base color and upkeep, and it is priced after a consultation, starting at $250 with an appointment of about three hours. Color correction is consultation-first and is offered for over-processed, banded or unwanted-shade hair. It can require a full day and is sometimes done over several sessions a few weeks apart. Keratin smoothing reduces frizz and is customized by hair type.

Cutting and styling include precision cuts shaped to face shape, texture and daily routine, with straight-razor work when it suits the cut. Every color and cut appointment ends with a finishing style. Hair extensions are available after a consultation covering method, color matching and upkeep, and makeup can be added to a hair appointment. Evo Hair products are used in the salon and recommended for home care. The salon says it does not upsell treatments and will suggest waiting when color can last longer.

Every appointment is with Sara herself and begins with a consultation covering hair history, goals and daily routine. Color is mixed by hand to each client's skin tone and natural base, and at-home care is built around Evo Hair products.
