Salon Wygs works mainly with people dealing with hair loss, alopecia, thinning and shedding. The salon says many of its clients have lost or thinned hair through illness or chemotherapy, and it works with them on custom wigs, units and replacements.

The salon describes its core belief as healthy hair, and its work follows two paths: customizing wigs and units for clients losing hair, and treating natural hair. Founder Ki Edwards owns the business and also works as a stylist there. The salon section of The Ki Collection website sells wigs, toppers, extensions, hair care and apparel online. Online orders ship free on most orders, usually within 7 to 10 business days, and can be returned within 30 days for a full refund with the customer paying return shipping.

A visit usually starts with a virtual consultation for new clients, which lasts 20 minutes, costs $55 and cannot be refunded. Most sew-in and wig services need a $50 deposit before the appointment is scheduled, $30 for the adhesive crown unit and $25 for bring-your-own quick weaves. Appointments are confirmed by invoice, which must be paid within 24 hours. Payment can be made by invoice or by Cash App under the salon name, and Quadpay (Zip), Klarna and Affirm are accepted. Alopecia adds $60 to most services.

Listed prices include a flexi rod relaxer service at $75, a sew-in with frontal at $385, custom wigs at $335 to $395, adhesive crown toppers at $250, starting locs at $125 and a silk press at $125. Travel services are listed at $400, with the price possibly rising depending on the client's needs. A 1 Year Hair Style Deal is listed at $1,800 and requires a consultation to break down the services.

Booking-site hours are 8 AM to 5 PM most days, with Wednesday starting at 9 AM and Sunday closed. Shampoo and braid-down are not offered on their own and must be paired with another service. Style changes cannot be made on the day of the appointment. Children are not allowed in the salon, and guests may come in only when they are being served. Late clients may lose their booked time, and items left at the salon should be collected within a month, after which the salon is not responsible. Appointments missing from the booking site can be requested by phone, since cancelled bookings do not show there.

The salon says it believes only in healthy hair, and it works on hair loss through customized wigs and units as well as through treatment of natural hair.
