Evi has owned Salon Soto since 2021 and works as a stylist there alongside Mhari. The salon describes its feel as friendly and relaxed, with individual attention given to each client.
The menu is grouped into color, combined services, cuts, style and nourish treatments, and texture services. Color and combined services include a complimentary blow-dry, while the cut itself is billed separately. Creative or vivid color and all-over blonding are booked by phone, and wedding or updo appointments also need a call so enough time can be reserved.
Bookings can be made through a Fresha account or by calling 847-328-6110. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours ahead, late cancellations are charged half the service price, and missed appointments without a call are charged the full price. Students with ID receive 15% off services, though not color services. Street parking is available nearby, and the nearest parking garage is at Chicago and Church.
The salon places hair health at the center of its cuts, color and highlights, and considers scalp care a particular focus.
