The salon describes itself as a collective of artists working side by side toward the same mission, and it describes its hair work as transformative within an inclusive, creative space.

Stylists set their own pricing and menus and choose their own schedules, and they can take time off. They are W2 employees with taxes paid, sick pay and PTO, and they have access to their own books and client information. Stylists have fully stocked color, back-bar and station products with no back-bar or product charges. The salon has full-time front-of-house staff, a personal booking assistant, and in-house education led by Rev. Billy as Director of Education. Benefits include BCBS insurance options and 401K plan options.

Extension services are booked by phone, and the price is set after a required consultation. A $25 consultation is offered for extensions, dreadlocks and up-dos, especially for bridal clients. Pricing is gender free. A $4 eco and wellness fee is added to each ticket to support team insurance and sustainability efforts. Event styling is charged by the hour. Services are for ages 13 and up, children are not allowed in the salon, and stylists accept gratuity in cash only. The salon is open Friday to Monday 10am to 6pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 9am to 7pm, and Thursday 10am to 7pm.

The salon uses Kevin.Murphy products, which come in packaging made from ocean waste plastic and are free of sulfates and parabens, not animal tested, and vegan and gluten-free friendly. It also uses Oway products, which it describes as organic, agricosmetic and clean beauty. Its K18 and Olaplex treatments are molecular-level systems that repair bonds damaged by chemical and thermal processing. For color, it uses Kevin.Murphy Color.me, which is ammonia-free, PPD-free and nut-free, with lifting options for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and Iroiro and Danger Jones for vivid shades. The salon describes itself as GreenCircle certified and as focused on clean air and clean beauty.

Appointments are confirmed by text or email 96 and 24 hours ahead, and bookings made within 48 hours count as confirmed. Cutting and consultation services need at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and color and extension services need at least 72 hours. Cancellations and reschedules must be made by phone, and a valid credit card is required to hold an appointment. Late cancellations and reschedules carry a 50% fee, while same-day cancellations and no-shows carry a 100% fee. There is a 10-minute grace period for late arrival, and arriving after that counts as a full-service cancellation. Clients who report dissatisfaction within 7 days of a completed service can have a redo with the same stylist. Completed services are not refunded, and deposits are non-refundable if cancelled without enough notice.
