Education is central to the team. The salon says talent alone is not enough, so staff complete their own training and take continuing advanced courses, conferences and seminars, supported by paid weekly in-salon education and a yearly education allowance. The salon describes its team as having rigorous training. Newcomers can join an assistant training program that runs 24 to 36 weeks, with weekly classes in cutting, color, styling and smoothing treatments. A fast-track option moves assistants onto the floor as stylists in 6 to 9 months, depending on skill level.

A first visit begins with a consultation before service, and the service is then tailored to the client's lifestyle, hair condition and budget. Clients can book online at any time. New clients booking a haircut online for the first time should choose the standard new client haircut option, which gives the stylist extra time for a first visit, and first-time color clients complete an in-depth color consultation form with their stylist. Each visit ends with styling tips, at-home hair care recommendations and help booking the next appointment.

Pricing is laid out openly. Haircut prices depend on the time needed to cut and style and on the experience level of the chosen stylist. Color is charged as a labor fee, which may vary by stylist experience, plus a product fee based on what is used that day, and the final color price is measured during the appointment. The salon uses a color-measuring system to dispense the precise amount of color needed for each client, mix color and track changes over time.
