Color is a major focus. The salon specializes in hair painting, balayage and highlighting, and it uses non-ammonia color for gray coverage. Color and cut appointments are given extra time so the work can be done carefully, with the aim of keeping hair healthy and avoiding over-processing.

Every client has a detailed consultation before any service. Color services include a consultation and a post-color masque treatment. New clients interested in chemical or color work are asked to email or call to book their first appointment. Chemical services do not include a cut or blow dry, and a complimentary blow dry with an apprentice is offered when one is available.

Hours run Tuesday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with the salon closed on Mondays. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance carry a fee of 50% of the full service fee. Bridal, special event and extension services need 72 hours' notice to avoid a full charge.

The first floor is stated to be fully ADA-approved, with an accessible entrance, spacious pathways and accessible service areas.
