Nicole has been in the beauty industry for 15 years. She spent 11 of those years building her career in Bethesda before opening Salon KB, and she says she keeps up with ongoing education as the industry changes.
The menu is organized into Consultation, Haircut, Color, Highlights, Styling, Updos and Men. Several color and highlight services come in two versions: a full appointment that includes a haircut and finish, and an express version that stops after the color and toner, with no haircut or blow-dry. For a new look, The Vision is a consultation to build the plan before the color or cut is booked. Color Me Beautiful is a custom formulation session priced after that consultation, and the consultation time is included in the appointment.
Hours run Monday 10 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday 1 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and Friday 9 AM to 2 PM. The salon is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Appointments canceled or changed with less than 12 hours' notice carry a charge of 20% of the total service fee, and a missed appointment without notice is treated as a no-show and charged 20% of the scheduled service.
Each look is built around the client's own vision and hair goals, with the view that beautiful color or cuts should not come at the cost of hair health.
