Saha Float Spa describes itself as a woman-owned small business in Sacramento. The business says its aim is to give its community a sense of inner calm.
Float rooms are private, and each has its own shower and changing area. Rooms 1 and 2 use 8-foot circular tanks, about twice the size of a traditional float tank. The water is heated to about 95 degrees Fahrenheit and holds over 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt per float. Guests can leave the door open, adjust the light, or get out at any time. Towels, earplugs, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Guests are asked to shower before floating, and to shower without a swimsuit before a first float. Swim caps are available, though the spa notes they can trap water.
The infrared sauna can be adjusted to suit each guest, and many set it near 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Each 30-minute session includes a robe and towel. Saunas are not recommended for guests who are pregnant. Shower access after a sauna depends on whether float rooms are free and is not guaranteed.
Facials use a medical-grade skincare line tailored to each client's skin. Massage is offered Wednesday through Sunday under the Authentic Bodywork name. Floating is suggested before a facial, and floating after a massage is also an option. Hours are weekdays 9:30am to 8pm, Tuesdays from 3:15pm, and weekends 8:30am to 8:30pm.
The spa suggests floating before a facial, with floating after a massage as an option, and aims to leave guests with a calm, restorative visit.
