Sade Styles Natural

Sade Styles Natural is a braid-focused business run by owner and braid stylist Sade Styles from Suite 4 at Styles + Company: Salon Suites on Hawthorne Boulevard in Lawndale. The business is appointment only, and hours vary by braider, since each one keeps their own schedule.

The business grew out of the owner's earlier work in braiding. Her first salon, Sade Styles: Beauty Supply & Braid Lounge in Gardena, opened in August 2020 and closed in December 2024. The Lawndale suite is part of Styles + Company, a salon suites business established in 2023, where the owner also hosts and mentors a team of beauty professionals while still braiding clients herself.

Booking is done through an online Square site. Each style carries a non-refundable deposit based on its price: $20 for styles under $150, $50 for styles from $150 to $399, and $70 for styles of $400 and up. The deposit goes toward the style price and is paid by a card link sent after booking. Clients have a 30-minute holding window after booking. To move a deposit to another appointment, the change has to be made at least 24 hours before the original time. Same-day requests can be sent through a last-minute form, though submitting one does not guarantee a slot. Payment after the service can be made in cash, which carries no tax, or by credit or debit card with sales tax added.

Most braid services include a Cecred treatment wash, which covers a scalp scrub, detox cleanse, hydrating shampoo, deep mask, steam therapy, scalp massage, blow-dry prep and scalp oil. Several braid services use anti-itch braiding hair, and clients who bring hair from a previous install can avoid a new-hair add-on fee.

The business also runs braiding classes, with new dates announced monthly on social media, and sells the book New Growth: A Journey Towards Wellness & Self-Worth in print and e-book form, along with a Feel Good Look Good notebook and T-shirt and a branding guide, Planting Seeds Vol. 1. The brand says it is committed to promoting wellness.

Installs are meant to be gentle on tension and the hairline, with attention to scalp wellness and comfort that lasts.
