S.A.G.E Beauty Lounge works mainly on protective styles: braids, locs and sew-ins. Knotless braids can be shaped to the client's preferred size, length, color, texture and style, and boho knotless braids are offered as well. The salon describes its mission as helping every client leave feeling confident and cared for.

Knotless braids are installed with a feed-in technique, which the salon says puts less tension on the roots. Loc retwists cover a refreshing shampoo, new-growth maintenance, scalp hydration, basic styling and a finished look. Starter locs are cultivated toward the look the client wants, and sew-ins are styled to suit the length, volume and overall look the client chooses.

Appointments are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome when a stylist is free, but same-day availability isn't guaranteed, so calling ahead is the best way to check. Some bookings require a retainer that goes toward the service, and the amount is shown during booking. Clients who arrive 15 or more minutes late may lose the appointment and the retainer. Shampoo is included with loc retwists and starter locs, and it can be added to select other appointments when booking. Appointment times are estimates that shift with hair length, density, condition and style, so clients are asked to say during the visit if braids feel too tight.

Payment is accepted in cash, debit or credit at check-in, with a 5% processing fee on credit card payments. Children's hair services start at age 6. College students with a valid college ID receive 10% off eligible services, which can't be combined with other promotions. Concerns about a completed service need to be raised within 3 days.
