Its work centers on dry cutting, softer lived-in color and understated styling, with each design shaped around a client's features, personality and daily life, whether the look is casual or formal.
The space is pared back, calm and welcoming. The salon is open every day from 11 am to 8 pm, and appointments can be booked online through its Booker menu. Pricing is set by hair length: S is above the chin, M runs chin to shoulders, L runs shoulder to chest, and XL falls below the chest. Blowouts run from $50 to $80, One Touch, gray cover, glaze or gloss color from $120 to $180, and full highlights or balayage from $160 to $210. Cold perms range from $170 to $250, and Japanese straight perms from $280 to $370.
The salon has co-founded two sister locations, ESHK Brooklyn in Greenpoint (September 2022) and ROOMMATE SALON LA in the Los Angeles Arts District (July 2024). It recycles hair clippings, color tubes and foils used for highlights, and it leans toward mostly organic, low-tox products.
Booking changes must be emailed at least 24 hours ahead, as they cannot be made by phone. Late cancellations carry a 50% fee and no-shows a 100% fee. Arriving 15 minutes or more after the start time incurs a 50% fee and requires rescheduling. Refunds are not issued on services or products, though a one-time adjustment at no extra charge is offered within 7 business days with the same stylist after an in-salon inspection.
