Takeo Suzuki

Takeo Suzuki founded ROOM Salon NY in April 2015 and works there as a hairstylist and Reiki practitioner. He began his career in Japan, then worked in salons in Tokyo, London and New York. He moved to London in 2007 to take on session styling for photo shoots and runway shows, and moved to New York in 2009 to return to salon work alongside fashion and editorial styling. His portfolio includes work for celebrities and for publications such as ELLE, VOGUE and W, as well as work for brands including UNIQLO, SONY and TOYOTA. He developed a technique that combines haircuts with Reiki. He regards hair as a medium of energy and works to adjust and balance that energy during the appointment.
