The salon was opened by owner Katie, who started it with a close friend. It aims to give clients a high-end experience in a relaxed, comfortable room, and to give stylists a fun, trendy place to work.

Staff say they keep up with current trends and styles, and they are trained in safety and sanitation. At the start of a visit, stylists talk through what is realistically achievable with the client and are direct about what results to expect.

The menu covers cutting, color, lightening, Pulp Riot vivid coloring, Olaplex and Amika treatments, keratin smoothing, HairTalk tape-bonded extensions and updo styling. Add-ons include shampoo, rough dry and a conditioning treatment. Color is guaranteed for 30 days when clients use the salon's recommended shampoo and conditioner.

Olaplex and Amika treatments are sold in the salon for use at home. The salon describes its haircare products as cruelty-free and formulated without sulfates or parabens, and says its haircare includes sea buckthorn berry, which it describes as a source of omega 7.

The salon is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice to avoid a charge of 50% of the service, and no-shows are charged the full service amount. Clients are asked to arrive 15 minutes early, and late arrival may change the service. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Major credit and debit cards and Chase QuickPay are accepted, and tips can be paid in cash or through Venmo directly to the stylist. Gift cards may be used for any product or service but are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Unopened products can be returned within 30 days with a receipt for store credit only.

Metered street parking is usually available out front, and free spots sometimes turn up on side streets. The salon is a short walk from the Sheridan Red Line stop, and several bus routes stop nearby.
