The salon's stated values center on customized services, embracing all aesthetics, hair types and gender expressions, ongoing education, a relaxed setting and community giving. Its Hairdressers Do Better initiative is a not-for-profit effort in which a share of retail product purchases goes to focus non-profit organizations. The team also seeks hair models for ongoing education sessions led by licensed professionals, with a nominal fee for the services.

A visit can start with a complimentary 10-minute consultation, booked online through the Vagaro page or by calling 415-431-VAMP (8267). Rates depend on hairdresser level, experience and the time a service takes. Packages include a thorough consultation, shampoo, blow dry and finishing. Color correction and creative color require a consultation, billed at $150 per hour per stylist. Extensions service starts at $160 per hour and excludes the cost of extensions.

The salon is open Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm. Services can be adjusted within seven days. Cancellations or reschedules made less than 48 hours ahead are charged 50% of the total service, and last-minute cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. A credit card is required for all appointments. Cash, Visa, American Express, Discover and MasterCard are accepted, and cash gratuity is appreciated. Retail product sales are final.
