Renew Spa LLC runs the spa in a suite on Warwick Avenue in Fairfax. The menu is grouped into facials, massage, head spa, body care, waxing and packages, so a visit can be a single treatment or a longer session that combines several of them.

Facials use Sothys products and include Oxygen Therapy, HydraFacial, microcurrent, LED therapy and professional peels, which the spa describes as non-aggressive. Options run from a 30-minute classic facial to a 90-minute V-Line lifting facial. Facial treatments are aimed at anti-aging and wrinkle reduction, deep hydration and brightening, pigmentation correction, and acne treatment and prevention. Several peels carry use restrictions, including sensitive skin, inflamed acne, pregnancy, breastfeeding and recent Accutane use.

The massage menu includes Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, sports, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, pregnancy, traditional Chinese (Tui Na), couples and face massage. Private rooms have aromatherapy essential oil diffusers, a premium sound system and garden-inspired decor. The spa uses Earthlite massage beds and says its linens and pillows meet five-star hotel standards. Pregnancy massage requires discussing the session with a prenatal care provider beforehand.

Japanese head spa sessions start with a consultation and continue through scalp cleansing, steam, scalp massage and a blow dry, using Moroccanoil hydrating shampoo-based products. Head spa services are offered for one person or two. Body care includes Sothys hand and feet scrubs, a back polish, a hydra body wrap, a cinnamon and ginger body treatment and an organic ginger body care option. Waxing covers the face, arms, legs, underarms, torso and bikini area, and Brazilian wax is offered for female clients only.

Packages combine several services in one booking, including birthday and anniversary options with dessert, a non-alcoholic drink and decorations, and longer retreats that pair massage with facials, head spa, hand or foot care. Gift cards can be purchased on the website. Clients are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes early and silence phones. A 5-minute grace period applies, and cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged 50 percent of the service fee. Missed appointments without notice are charged in full.

Treatments are built around the Sothys skincare line, a French brand that the spa notes has been in business since 1946.

Private rooms feature garden-inspired decor and aromatherapy diffusers.
