RAH Hair Studio

RAH Hair Studio opened on March 1, 2018, and was founded by owner Chantell Greene. The name stands for Radiant Awesome Hair. The salon describes itself as a place that cares about clients' hair and about each client personally, and says clients leave with healthy hair and a styled look.

The team includes Chantell Greene, who is the owner and senior cosmetologist; Kim Clark Lewis, a stylist with more than 25 years in the Washington metropolitan area; Kim Lewis, a stylist; Melissa Hammond, a stylist; and Renae Johnson, the loctician who works with locs.

Wash and Style on Relaxed Hair is $65 and includes a shampoo, steam towel, conditioner, and a style of your choice. Press, Style, and Conditioner is $90, Specialty Sets and Pin-Ups is $90 and covers flexi rod sets, perm rod sets, or additional pin-ups, and Full Relaxer and Trim is $125. OLAPLEX is $40. Reconstructing, protein, and hair steaming treatments are $35 when booked alone, and an Olaplex Reconstruction for $40 can be added to color and highlighting or used alone. Those prices do not include a wash and style. Protein treatments are recommended every six weeks.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 6am to 12pm, and is closed on Mondays. Street parking is available in front of the building and across the street, with more parking behind it. Clients go up the stairs to reach the top level where the studio is.

Hair health comes first, with reconstructing and hydrating treatments paired alongside styling, and a team that works with relaxed hair, color, and locs.
