PURESTHETIQUE opened on Fifth Avenue in 2018, after earlier plans for a Caribbean location were ruled out following natural disasters there in 2017. It is open Monday to Saturday from 11AM to 8PM and closed on Sundays.

About

The facial and massage menu leans on lymphatic work. Lymphatic Facial Massage pairs Japanese facial massage with manual lymphatic drainage for the face, neck and shoulders, in 50-minute or 100-minute versions, with the longer one including a herbal mask. It uses customized mineral masks and an organic CBD facial oil, and was previously offered as Ayurvedic Botanical Facial. Purest Restorative Facial is described as gentler than the lymphatic version and includes rice and milk exfoliation, an oil massage and a mineral gel mask. Dry Head Spa is a 60- or 90-minute session covering the back, neck, shoulders and head, with no steam or shampoo and no facial massage; the table has a 200-pound weight limit. Reiki healing, Nano Microcurrent Facial and Yoni Steam are also offered as holistic spa treatments.

Light therapy facials use laser or IPL, including Clearing Laser Facial, Deep Pore Clearing Laser Facial, Gentle YAG Laser Skin Tightening and IPL Photofacial Rejuvenation, which is priced by area. Laser hair removal is offered by body area, either single sessions or six-session packages, and package sessions can be mixed across listed areas. The equipment is a Cynosure Elite+ workstation using 755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelengths, with Zimmer Cryo 6 cooling air to reduce discomfort. The salon states it has performed over 15,000 laser treatments. First-time clients receive 20% off laser hair removal. Men are asked to get a referral from a client, since the salon mainly focuses on treatments for women.

Endospheres therapy is available as a facial or a 60-minute body treatment. The salon says the treatment is patented, FDA registered and made in Italy, and that it reduces the appearance of cellulite and encourages lymphatic drainage. Two monthly memberships are offered: Glow Plan at $120, where members choose one of the Clearing, Purest Holistic or Endospheres facials each month, and Revive Plan at $150, which includes one lymphatic, Dry Head Spa or facial service. Both plans give 15% off products and 15 to 40% off other treatments, including packages, and an unused month carries over.

Packages are valid for one year and gift cards do not expire; e-card purchases are arranged by contacting the salon. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice, later cancellations may be charged 50%, and no-shows are charged in full. Purchases are final and non-transferable, though medical reasons may qualify unused packages for a refund minus fees. A referral program gives the referring guest and the new guest each a 10% coupon for the next visit. Major credit cards, Apple Pay and digital payments are accepted, and gratuities can be given in cash or through Venmo.

The holistic philosophy aims to balance mind, body and spirit through physical comfort and natural skincare. Treatments aim to stimulate lymphatic drainage without fillers or incisions, and products avoid artificial preservatives, sulfates, alcohol and synthetic fragrances.

Rooms are scented with natural essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance.
