Pure Touch Electrology

Pure Touch Electrology is a permanent hair removal business run by its owner, Margaret Arzumann, who is also the only electrologist on staff. The practice works through electrolysis, which treats one hair follicle at a time with a fine probe and a controlled amount of energy. The business describes electrolysis as the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal.

Because electrolysis does not rely on pigment, it works on hair of any shade, including blonde, gray, red, white, light and dark. According to the business, it suits every skin tone when a trained electrologist performs it. Areas served include the chin, upper lip, brows, face, neck, ears, underarms, arms, chest, abdomen, bikini area, back, legs, and digits: fingers and toes.

Services are grouped into facial hair removal, body hair removal, gender-affirming electrolysis and timed electrolysis sessions. Sessions run from 15 minutes up to 4 hours, with a 5-minute break every hour for appointments of 2 hours or longer. Current listed prices are $40 for 15 minutes, $60 for 30 minutes, $80 for 45 minutes, $90 for an hour, $140 for 1 hour 30 minutes, $180 for 2 hours, $270 for 3 hours and $360 for 4 hours. A complimentary 15-minute consultation is offered, and it can be combined with a 15-minute treatment for $40.

Treatment takes place in a private, appointment-only studio. Walk-ins are not accepted. Clients can call, text or book online at (385) 246-3445. A deposit reserves an appointment and is applied toward treatment. Cancelling or rescheduling at least 24 hours ahead lets the deposit move to a future booking, while later cancellations and no-shows forfeit it. Late arrivals may receive a shorter treatment and may still be charged the full fee.

Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and closed on weekends. Clients are asked to avoid waxing, tweezing or threading beforehand, arrive with clean skin, stay hydrated, and let hair grow to about 3 mm. Afterward, the area should be kept clean and protected from excess sun, heat and heavy sweating, and facial makeup should wait until redness settles. Most clients describe a brief pinch, warmth or tingling, and the electrologist checks in during treatment. The timeline is not fixed in advance and depends on the area, hair density, growth cycles, earlier removal methods, hormones and how consistently appointments are kept. Teenagers may be considered based on age, hair growth, comfort and circumstances, and a parent or guardian must be involved when consent is required.

Each treatment plan is personalized to hair pattern, skin, treatment area, goals, comfort, schedule and how the skin responds over time. The process moves from consultation to planning, treatment and progress monitoring, with fewer hairs returning over time.
