Options include an all-over color for matching natural shade, covering grey, shifting tone or going darker; root touch-ups; mini lights that brighten the top and face-framing pieces only; partial and full highlights or balayage; full-head bleach and toner; fashion shades; and demi-permanent toner or gloss for adjusting warmth on hair that has already been lightened. The salon describes its color work as creative, hand-painted and dimensional.
Senior stylists are listed with their own price tier for cuts, beard work and blowouts. Blowouts are offered at the salon level as well.
Color questions and cancellations go to the color team at publicbarbersalon@gmail.com. The salon is open Monday from 11am to 7pm, Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and is closed on Sundays. Clients should arrive no more than 5 minutes after their appointment time. Haircut cancellations need at least three hours' notice and color cancellations need 24 hours' notice to avoid a fee. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the cost of the booked service. Card payments carry a 3% fee, while cash is not surcharged. Clients with very long, thick or compromised hair, or those planning a major change, are asked to mention it in advance or leave a note when booking. First-time bleach and tone clients are asked to email the color team before booking.
Color menu prices are starting points, and final pricing is set by the color artist during the consultation. Prices can also shift with hair length and density.
Color services are customized by color artists after a consultation, and final color pricing is set at that visit. Clients with long, thick or compromised hair are asked to flag it when booking so the appointment can be planned around it.
