About

Project Esty Aesthetics Academy trains people to become licensed estheticians at two Arizona campuses: one inside SanTan Village in Gilbert and one in Old Town Scottsdale, close to Fashion Square. The program is 600 hours and is open to people with no prior beauty or skincare experience. The academy is led by founder and owner Mariah Sanchez, a licensed esthetician and educator with more than 13 years of experience as an esthetician and solo business owner.

The program moves through three phases. The first is distance-learning theory covering skin anatomy, physiology, chemistry and infection control. The second is clinic-based, where students carry out advanced treatments on clients under licensed instructor supervision. The third prepares students for the Arizona State Board Esthetician Exam, which has a written and a practical portion, and covers life skills and launching a career. Students attend in person either on Monday, Wednesday and Friday or on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 8 AM to 2 PM, and complete theory assignments online on their remaining weekdays. Each cohort is capped at 12 students, and the school runs two classrooms.

Training covers facial and full body waxing, brazilian waxing, brow shaping and lamination, lash lifts and lash extension application, along with chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, oxygen infusion, high frequency and body cavitation. Students work with GlyMed Plus, Face Reality and DermaQuest skincare lines and use Zemits technology and the DermeLuxx Pro device. The school says Zemits technology is part of its core curriculum and that it is the only aesthetics academy in the United States to include it; these are the school's own claims. Business, branding and social media training begins in week one at no extra cost.

Tuition is $15,500, which the school describes as all-inclusive and covering the professional kit, textbooks and Zemits technology training. A $3,500 deposit secures a seat, and monthly payment plans cover the remaining balance. Enrollment can be finalized by Zelle, ACH bank transfer or major credit card, and financing specialists can discuss other funding options. Lash extension application and laser training are available for an additional charge. Prospective students begin by booking a private tour, offered Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Gilbert campus. The school reports a 100% State Board pass rate and a 100% completion rate for students who start, and says 85% of graduates are working or building a clientele within three to six months of passing their boards. It also says over 40% of graduates open their own suite, studio or spa within one to two years, and that graduates have an average first-year earning range of $65K to $105K or more. These are the school's own figures.

The Gilbert campus runs a student clinic open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM and closed on weekends. The clinic menu lists more than 20 treatments, and students perform them on paying clients under licensed instructor supervision. Appointments must be booked in advance, and clients can choose a student provider online based on availability. Tipping is optional, goes directly to the student who served the client, and can be paid in cash or by card. The school says clinic prices are 40% to 60% lower than traditional spa pricing for the same services. The academy is also a member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals, which gives students access to career toolkits and resources.

Education-first, combining structured theory, supervised clinic work and business preparation for students entering the field.

Small classes of up to 12 students across two classrooms.
