Planting Locs operates as Planting Locs LLC and pairs loc services with its own line of care products. The name is meant to suggest a prepared base where locs can develop, with hydrating mist and oil supporting the hair and a loctician guiding its growth. The business describes itself as having more than five years of experience in the industry.

New clients book a consultation before any other appointment. The booking calendar opens on the 15th of each month. A $25 non-refundable deposit confirms an appointment and is deducted from the final payment; it can be transferred once if the appointment is rescheduled. The remaining balance is paid in exact cash only. Only clients being serviced should attend, so extra guests and children are not included.

Arrival policies apply: a 10-minute grace period, then a $10 late fee after 10 minutes, and the appointment is cancelled with the deposit forfeited after 20 minutes. Cancellations made 24 hours or less ahead forfeit the deposit and incur a $35 fee charged to the card on file.

Squeeze-ins and appointments before or after regular hours can be arranged by text for an additional fee: $50 Wednesday to Friday, $60 Saturday and Sunday, and $100 Monday and Tuesday.
