Eyat's Naturals

Eyat's Naturals is a natural hair salon in Duncanville, with one location on the second floor of a suite at 550 N Main St. The menu centers on locs and natural hair, from overdue retwists and interlocking to coils on TWA, big chops, twists, updos and henna color, along with a loc detox service and a 12-month maintenance plan.

The salon was founded by Ms Eyat, who moved to Texas, settled in Dallas and built a clientele as a loctitian and natural hair stylist. Between 2019 and 2024, Ms Eyat trained well over a dozen natural hair stylists and loctitians, and many of them later went on to work for themselves. The founder also makes, packages and distributes the Crafted by Ms Eyat line of plant-based hair care, which the salon sells on site.

New clients book a consultation before a maintenance appointment. Consultations are used to discuss hair type, the result a client wants, and any allergies or sensitivities. First-time clients also send photos of their hair, roots and length with their appointment details, and overdue retwists or retwists older than four months need a consultation and root photos before they can be booked.

Micro loc extensions are made with human hair and are offered for alopecia and other forms of hair loss. The service takes about 14 hours at $1,800. Loc extensions and reattachment, at $2,200, are for clients who already have their own locs and also require a consultation. Repairs are priced per loc, and bookings with more than eight repairs need a consultation first.

Plant-based products are used for protective styling, and new clients and overdue work begin with a consultation.
