Kat founded Pilosity, a small electrolysis practice in Pasadena. Electrolysis for permanent hair removal is the core of the work, offered on the face, body and hairline to women, men and teens. The practice also serves transgender clients and offers an intensive program for clearing areas.

Care starts with a 30-minute consultation that costs $50 and includes a demonstration and, if the client asks, a patch test. Each client then receives a customized care plan with pre- and post-treatment instructions. Electrolysis is booked in 15, 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions, priced from $70 to $190, with intimate-area pricing set separately after consultation. Appointments must be booked in advance, and the appointment time covers pre and post care.

Electrolysis is performed with an Apilus xCell Pro 27.12 MHz unit. Probes are single-use, individually wrapped and pre-sterilized, and they are discarded after each client. The studio follows sterilization standards set by the American Electrology Association and the CDC. The practice works with PCOS-related hair removal, curved follicles and higher Fitzpatrick skin tones.

Facials and peels make up the rest of the menu. The facials use Hungarian skincare and run from a 35-minute express treatment to a 75-minute spa facial that includes microdermabrasion, microcurrent, LED and oxygen. The peels include a Jessner peel with a gentler Sensi Peel option, a four-layer organic peel, and a 4% pure retinol peel aimed at fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration and texture, with peeling that can last up to a week. The treatment table includes vibrational sound therapy.

Pregnant clients need a letter from their doctor, and treatment on moles also requires one. Appointments longer than two hours require a 50% deposit and a consultation by text. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice on weekdays and 48 hours for weekend appointments. Packages are non-refundable. Teens can begin electrolysis around ages 13 to 14, depending on maturity and parental consent. According to the salon, parking at Shopper's Lane is free for 90 minutes.

Each client receives a customized care plan with pre- and post-procedure instructions, and single-use probes are used for every treatment.
