The Hair Content Model program trades model rates for participation in photography, video, livestreams, tutorials and educational content. Applicants go through an application, preliminary approval, a 15-minute consultation for $5 (refunded if they are not approved to continue), final approval, and then booking. Hair is not included in these services, and content participation is required. Traditional salon appointments remain available for guests who would rather not take part in any content.
The extension and healthy hair services are built around the health and long-term goals of natural hair and scalp. Healthy Hair Sessions focus on length retention and hair growth, with home care instruction at each visit. Extensions are customized to each client to add length, volume and density, and methods range from braidless weft microlinks and traditional sew-ins to strand-by-strand I-Tip and K-Tip installs.
Booking requires a 25% deposit toward the total for extension services, and deposits are non-refundable, including for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the reserved service, and no-shows are charged in full. Clients get two complimentary reschedules within 30 days of the original appointment when requested 48 hours ahead. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late incur a $35 fee, children and extra guests are not permitted unless arranged in advance, and concerns about a service must be raised within two business days. The studio is not currently accepting new hair loss or alopecia clients.
PHD also runs PHD Advanced Hair Training for beauty professionals, offered in hands-on or virtual formats.
Services are built around the health and long-term goals of the natural hair and scalp, with extensions customized to each client.
