Open Hair Miami Salon was founded by Delfin Gonzalez Garcia after he opened an earlier salon in Miami. Before that he worked in Europe as a lead stylist and later as salon manager for MSC Cruises, and he started cutting hair at 15 in Cuba.

The salon is located at 199 Westward Drive, reachable from Miami Springs, Doral, Hialeah, Virginia Gardens and Miami International Airport, with parking available nearby. Services are offered in English and Spanish. Clients can reserve online or by phone, and walk-ins are accepted as availability permits, though advance booking is advised for color and extension appointments.

The salon works with a Hair Level System. Stylists advance through experience levels, and each level has its own pricing, so clients can choose a stylist based on experience and budget. Every visit starts with a consultation covering goals, timing and the plan. Prices can vary with hair length, volume and desired style, and the final price is confirmed on the day after the stylist has consulted with the client.

Color work and extensions are a focus. Extensions are Bellami 100% real human hair installed with the X-Cross method, a braidless weft sew-in. The salon says it is the only salon in Miami offering this method.

Services carry a one-week guarantee, and a complimentary re-do with the original stylist is offered within that week if something is not right. Payment is due on the day of service. Cash is the base price and card payments carry a 2.63% fee shown on the receipt. Cancellations and reschedules need 48 hours' notice, and arrivals more than 20 minutes late may need to rebook.
