The Tysons studio sits on the first floor of Capital One Center in McLean, the Falls Church studio is beneath the Loren Apartments, and the Alexandria studio is on King Street in Old Town.
The Tysons location is the full-service studio, with manicures, pedicures, massages and facials. Falls Church and Alexandria focus on nail care. Manicure and pedicure menus range from mini services for children 10 and under to gel manicures and pedicures, with add-ons for callus care, nail repair, French tips and gel polish. Pedicures use basin-style bowls rather than whirlpool or jet chairs. Walk-ins are welcome when the schedule allows, though appointments are recommended, especially on evenings, weekends and holidays.
Nail products are chosen to avoid formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate, and the studio says it uses non-toxic materials and only products its team would use on themselves. It participates in Fairfax County's Green Business initiative, focuses on reducing waste and conserving resources, pledges 1 percent of sales to local causes, and has supported Doorways, a nonprofit serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Arlington and Falls Church, since 2019.
Gel polish typically lasts two to three weeks. Gel removal is priced separately, even when the gel was applied at the studio, and removal of products applied elsewhere may cost more. Gel removal is not offered for SNS, dip powder, hard gel or acrylic nails, and the studio does not offer those services. Gel polish that chips or lifts within three days can be reported by email or by replying to the confirmation text with a photo.
Memberships and packages suit regular visits and celebrations. Facial and massage memberships renew monthly with a three-month minimum commitment, and birthday and wedding packages are booked by phone or email rather than online.
Uses non-toxic materials and products the studio says it would use itself, and describes its approach to self-care as effective and restorative.
The Tysons studio draws on Isamu Noguchi's design, with Akari lamps, warm oak floors, a tea bar and a bookshelf.
