NineOneThree Salon is run by Michelle Kolich, a Master Technician and owner who focuses on hair extensions. The business operates from a salon suite rather than an open floor, which the owner says gives clients more privacy during their appointments.

The salon's core service is Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE), including the Natural Beaded Row method, which was developed by Danielle K. White in Laguna Beach, California. Each weft of extension hair is custom ordered and colored to match the client's current or desired results, and color services are blended so they match the extensions. Hair is sourced from Covet and Mane and described as 100 percent Remy human hair, hand-tied. The salon also offers the AW Collection, a micro-weft line whose wefts can be cut without unraveling or fraying.

Before booking, the salon discusses the client's inspiration, then helps them choose the length and number of rows. First-time IBE clients typically invest between $2,000 and $3,600 or more, depending on desired length, fullness and hair goals. Move-up appointments for IBE are scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks, and a full hair replacement is typically needed every 9 to 11 months depending on home care and lifestyle. IBE maintenance starts at $400 for one row or $675 for two rows, before any additional color services, and extra hair between full replacements is priced separately.

The owner stresses knowing where extension hair is sourced and what dyes and treatments it has already had. For color, the salon still uses foils on many blonde clients and also offers shadow roots and root smudging for a softer, longer-lasting look.

Extension work is planned around each client's chosen length, number of rows and inspiration, with the aim of a natural look while keeping the client's own hair healthy.
