Nine Zero One

Nine Zero One, also called 901 Salon, has operated since 2009 on Westbourne Drive in West Hollywood. Co-owners Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri opened it with three other staff: a third stylist, an assistant and a receptionist. The owners say they recruited stylists they wanted to work with and waited until those stylists were available.

The salon describes itself as a trendsetting, premiere salon, and says its stylists originated the Braid Bar. Its extension work is with Great Lengths, and platinum and brunette color are handled by named specialists. The stated goal is for clients to feel good before, during and after each appointment, in a space the salon describes as contemporary and inspired.

Bridal parties can book The Royal Treatment, a package for brides, grooms and bridal parties, with inquiries handled by the salon's weddings team. Airbrush tanning is offered under SKJ Airbrush Tanning and booked through Vagaro.

901 Academy runs intimate classes and mentorship for beauty professionals, with a shadowing option where attendees follow a 901 artist. Current classes include Extension Masterclass, Platinum Precision, Iconic Blonding, Brunette Mastery and The Bronde Edit.

The stated goal is for clients to feel good before, during and after an appointment, and the owners say they chose their stylists carefully.
